DECK RULES

PLAYERS MUST:

USE AN OFFICIAL PRECONSTRUCTED COMMANDER DECK
IF A PLAYER IS PROVIDING THEIR OWN UNSEALED PRECONSTRUCTED DECK THEY MUST ARRIVE 1 HOUR EARLY SO OUR STAFF CAN VERIFY THE DECK LIST MATCHES THE ORIGINAL LIST

PRECON COMMANDER DECKS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE WITH A 10% DISCOUNT FOR PARTICIPANTS

UNSEALED DECK VERIFICATION: PLEASE ARRIVE BY 9:45 AM SO OUR STAFF CAN VERIFY YOUR DECK LIST

(to ensure this is quick, please have deck seperated by card type- (ie. lands, creatures, instants, sorceries wtc)

10:45 AM – Player Check-In

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Round 1

60-minute round

One full turn rotation after time is called

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM – Lunch & Trading Break

• Pizza provided for players

• Open tables for trades, deck chats, and browsing

• Great time to grab snacks, sleeves, or packs

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Round 2

60-minute round

One full turn rotation after time is called

2:00 PM – 2:20 PM – Scoring & Pod Generation

• Point calculations

• Short break

2:20 PM – 3:20 PM – Round 3

60-minute round

One full turn rotation after time is called

3:20 PM – 3:40 PM – Final Scoring & Tie-Breakers

3:40 PM – Prizing & Wrap-Up

Prizing will be a mix of sealed product and store credit

Prizes will be awarded on a tiered based on points earned and will vary based on event turnout.

Capacity: 24 MAX (12 people minimum, prizing is based on turnout)

You may bring your own precon deck, if unsealed please arrive 1 hour before the event so we can verify that your deck list matches the original.

We’re back for Precon Commander Tournament #2 — bigger prizing, tighter structure, and the same no-upgrades, all-precon chaos you loved last time.

This event is designed to be fair, fun, and welcoming for both new and experienced Commander players.

EVENT DETAILS

Saturday, March 15

Check-in: 10:45 AM PST

Games begin: 11:00 AM PST

12–24 players

60-minute rounds + 1 full turn rotation after time

ENTRY — $25

Each player receives:

Dragon Shield sleeves ($14.99 value)

1 drink

10% off precon purchase for players

Prizing for EVERYONE (tiered by points)

DECK RULES

• Unmodified Commander precons only

• No Secret Lair decks

• Mystic Intellect exception: banned card → basic land

• Face commander or backup commander allowed

• Rule 0: another legendary creature from the original decklist with the same colour identity may be used if the pod agrees

Bringing your own unsealed precon?

Arrive 1 hour early with your deck organized by card type for deck verification.

POINTS SYSTEM

• First combat damage to a player → +1

• Each player eliminated → +1 each

• Creative play / sportsmanship → +1 (1 per game per pod, pod-nominated)

Pod placement:

Win = +3

Second-to-last = +2

Third-to-last = +1

DRAWS

If time is called and the game ends in a draw after the final turn rotation:

• 3–4 players draw: 1 point each

• 2 players draw: 2 points each

PRIZING

Top 3 (points, eliminations as tiebreaker):

$100 store credit + 5 packs

$75 store credit + 3 packs

$50 store credit + 2 packs

Tiered prizing:

• 12+ pts (not Top 3): $20 + pack

• 8–11 pts: $15 + pack

• 4–7 pts: $10 + pack

Every player gets at least 1 pack

Last place: 1 pack + 2 Jumpstart packs
